Florida State vs. Louisville line, prediction, odds: Seminoles CFP fate will be decided in ACC Ch

With an undefeated record, Florida State will enter Saturday’s ACC Championship Game against Louisville, looking to maintain its spot in the College Football Playoff. The Seminoles enter as a small favorite.

Louisville’s appearance in Saturday’s championship game will be its first as a member of the ACC. Despite coming into this contest on the heels of a non-conference loss to Kentucky, the Cardinals are enjoying their first double-digit-win season since the Teddy Bridgewater era in 2013. Credit first-year head coach Jeff Brohm for the quick turnaround.

Louisville has a better shot than expected a few weeks ago at its upset bid, going up against a Jordan Travis-less Seminoles offense. FSU will likely lean even more on its strong defensive unit as the offense enters its second full week without its QB1. The Seminoles trailed 12-0 at Florida last week before Tate Rodemaker and the FSU offense started to get things in gear.  Running back Trey Benson found the end zone three times in that comeback win. The production has to come from somewhere if FSU wants back in the CFP for the first time since Jameis Winston led the offense.

Even Rodemaker’s status is in question after he took a late hit to the head last week against Florida. Rodemaker only briefly left that game, but freshman Brock Glenn has been getting snaps in team activities this week.

With an undefeated record, it is assumed Florida State will get in the CFP with a win. However, there doesn’t seem to be a path to the top four with a loss. This is a must-win for FSU.
